We spoke with Francisco to learn more about his journey, his passion for padel, and how this partnership is making an impact.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your passion for padel started?
I’m Francisco Coirini, a padel player and coach based in Monterrey. I’m 23 years old and originally from Villa María, Córdoba, Argentina. I started playing padel at the age of 14 after trying my hand at soccer. Padel offered me a new path full of goals and challenges that I was eager to embrace. As I improved as a player, I also decided to become a professional coach. I’ve completed several certifications and continue to train to this day. Padel is the sport I love and the one that makes me happy every single day.

How did your collaboration with Grupo Fox and Hacienda 1800 come about?
I met Fernando through a mutual friend, Alfredo Treviño, who has also supported me. We connected while I was giving him lessons, and during one of our conversations, I shared my project and enthusiasm for advancing my professional career. We met to discuss it further and aligned on creating this project. This sponsorship has opened many doors and provided the support I needed to professionalize my career and compete in around 25 tournaments a year across the country.

What has this sponsorship meant for you, and how has it helped you as a coach?
I’m deeply grateful to Fernando, Grupo Fox, and the entire team behind this project. Their support has allowed me to professionalize my career and participate in tournaments throughout the year. I’ve also had the opportunity to compete abroad, which has been crucial for my development as a player.

What do you enjoy most about Hacienda 1800 in Cuatrociénegas?
The food, without a doubt, is amazing. I also really enjoy the natural parks—they’re unique in the world—and swimming in the river is always a highlight.

Dream big, have fun, and live in the moment. It’s not just about achieving good results—they’re the reward for the journey you’ve taken. Along the way, there will be tough moments, but those are the most important ones because they help us grow.

How do you see the future of padel in Mexico and Latin America? What role do brands and sponsorships play in this growth?
Padel is growing significantly across the country. I’ve had the privilege of competing in cities like Monterrey, Torreón, Toluca, Estado de México, Puebla, Querétaro, and Villahermosa, among others. There’s incredible potential in many regions.

What advice would you give to those dreaming of pursuing padel or any sport professionally?
Train hard, dedicate time, put in the hours, and commit fully. Effort and discipline are the most important factors for excelling in any discipline.
