The Advanced Treatment Module (MTA) at the Dulces Nombres Wastewater Treatment Plant (PTAR), located in Pesquería, Nuevo León, is making strong progress toward its goal. This project, carried out by Servicios de Agua y Drenaje de Monterrey (SADM) in collaboration with Agua Sostenible del Sur (ASSUR), is a key part of the Indirect Potable Reuse (IPR) strategy for the Monterrey Metropolitan Area.
The importance of this module lies in its contribution to improving water supply in a region that has faced extreme droughts, such as the one that occurred between 2022 and 2023. In addition to the construction of the MTA, the project includes the installation of an Aqueduct that will transport regenerated water to the La Boca Dam and the creation of the La Boca Advanced Water Treatment Plant (PPA), thus ensuring the quality of water for potable reuse.
Liquidtek is responsible for the construction and equipping of the MTA, with an estimated completion time of 18 months. We are currently in the final phase of detailed engineering, bringing us ever closer to executing this vital project.
With this initiative promoting the circular economy in water usage, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and the responsible management of water, ensuring a more resilient future for the Monterrey community.
